 A zone dedicated to the leisures
The Quays of Prado constitute a space dedicated to the leisures.
They include a cinema multiplexing, 2 restaurants, a commercial pole and a skating rink of leisures.
It offers all until one can wait in term of leisures of a large city. |
 One year of work
Financed by the Town of Bourges, the General Council, the Region Center and the European union (Fonds FEDER), the construction of the skating rink cost 6 530 000 euros.
Work began in May 2003 and lasted one year. |
 Operation of the equipment
Since the end of May, the manager took possession of the places and ensures the correct operation of the equipment. It is about the company GESCLUB which is specialized in the management of equipment of leisures (swimming pools, skating rinks...). |
 Characteristics of the skating rink
It is equipped with a track of 56 X 26 meters, that is to say a surface of 1456 m2. It can accomodate nearly 1000 people on the ice and 1200 in the steps.
In configuration "spectacle", the skating rink can accomodate 146 people on the ice, 850 people in the fixed steps and 350 people in the mobile steps. |
 A true place of life
Dedicated to the leisures and to the amateurs of slips, the skating rink also accomodates school complexes since September.
Presentations of figure skating, animations of the spectacle type on ice, and the evenings with topic, animate all with length this place... |
 BIENNALE OF THE CONTEMPORY ART IN BOURGESThe Agency of Blatter Architecture joined this event by presenting 3 works of the young artist plastics technician Philippe Tallis, of which a gigantic sculpture: "The Large Ostrich". |
